Asbury Park PorchFest is an annual event that has been held since 2018 in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It is a free day of live music featuring more than 600 performances by local bands. The event showcases a wide range of musical genres, including Americana, Rap, Blues, and Broadway.

Over the years, Asbury Park PorchFest has raised over $50,000 for local charities. This year, the event is proud to support Mercy Center and the Asbury Park African-American Music Project (AP-MP). Mercy Center provides essential food supplies to more than 3,500 local families. AP-MP celebrates the rich history of Asbury Park’s Springwood Avenue, which was once a jazz mecca frequented by legendary artists such as Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington.

A diverse group of established and seasoned journalists, writers, filmmakers and notable Asbury Park advocates and civic leaders have come together to form the Asbury Park Media Collective (APMC). The organization is new but the long-standing working relationships among the members, coupled with an impressive collective track record in civic media in Asbury Park and beyond provides a solid foundation for this new initiative.
