We knew we wanted to start a dialog to help educate and create a safe space to talk about preventing HIV/AIDS among women AND girls

While The Center is not usually associated with events for girls, Linda Rebbel, Development Director of the organization, says this event had been planned to coincide with another date. “Actually, National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness month was in March and we had plans to do something earlier but this is when we could put it all together. We knew we wanted to start a dialog to help educate and create a safe space to talk about preventing HIV/AIDS among women AND girls.” Ms. Rebel says.

The Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County is located at 1201 Monroe Avenue, Asbury Park.
