North to Shore (N2S), New Jersey’s three-week, three-city festival returns for the second year in Asbury Park, Atlantic City and Newark from June 10 -30. N2S, the brainchild of Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy is designed to highlight New Jersey culture, creativity and diversity.

The festival kicks off in Asbury Park on June 10th at The Wonder Bar. The line-up includes Happy Monday’s presents: Renee Maskin, Blush, The Hard Maybes & The Foes of Fern. The following evening Alexander Simone and Whodat? Live Crew will perform at Watermark as part of their annual Soul in the Park 2 celebration of soul, hip-hop, funk and dance.

Noteworthy events taking place on June 12th, include Gary Clark Jr. at The Stony Pony Summer Stage and SAOSIN at The Asbury Lanes. The N2S Official Selection recommendation for this day is ‘A Crane House Garden of Verses’ described as “an evening celebrating poetry, essays and writers who articulate the feelings we cannot quite put into words,” features readings from three Asbury Park Reporters: Kerry Margaret Butch, Lorraine Stone and Maureen Nevin.

The N2S Showcase Stage on June 14th, 3-11:30 pm takes place in the Grand Arcade at Convention Hall. The event is free and features Des & The Swagmatics, The Mercury Brothers, Space & The Goodstock Jamband, Jake Thistle, Joe Miller, Mike Montrey Band & Dave Vargo, Myster-e Edutainment, Johnny Nameless, Chris Rockwell, DJ Rockwell, DJ Adam Jay, shopping, food & giveaways.

The event moves to Atlantic City June 17-23, and then to Newark June 24-30, featuring top name artists such as Kevin Hart, The B-52’s, Gabriel Iglesias, Frankie Valli and Stephen Colbert, as well as film screenings, live podcasts, and panel discussions.
